Codefendants: An Intimate Show at The Cellar
CODEFENDANTS RETURN TO CONNECTICUT!
Codefendants—the genre-defying project started by New Haven’s own Ceschi Ramos, Sam King (Get Dead), and Fat Mike (NOFX)—are making a special stop in CT to celebrate the release of Chris Conde’s new album on Fake Four!
Conde is a force in hardcore queer hip-hop, pushing the boundaries of genre, identity, and energy. Over the past year, their music has sparked both critical praise and controversy, earning attention from Spin Magazine and even Joe Rogan.
This stripped-down Codefendants duo—with special guests—will bring the raw, high-energy spirit of a 1990s Tune Inn show. Rumor has it that Vechel Jaynes might even make an appearance.
Fusing punk, underground hip-hop, indie rock, trip-hop, new wave, and beyond, Codefendants have carved out their own genre: Crime Wave. Their debut album on Fat Wreck Chords was named Record of the Year 2023 by Punk Rock Vinyl, scored 4/5 stars in Kerrang! Magazine, and received praise from Thrasher, Rolling Stone, Outburn Mag, and more.
Joining the lineup:
Myles Bullen – Fake Four labelmate delivering a vulnerable brand of indie hip-hop with an anti-folk twist.
Indigaux – Hyperpop hip-hop extraordinaire straight out of Elm City.
This Fake Four x Cellar On Treadwell event is one for the books.
